Traction Politics is taking birth in India !

India’s the biggest democracy in the world with around 790 parliamentarians representing their constituencies and states in New Delhi and around 4215 members of legislative assemblies in different state assemblies. Then there are numerous representatives in urban areas to municipal corporations, municipal councils and town councils.

There are no set ways, to enter into politics in India. Currently I see there are "Four feeder lines to politics":
  • From political families or from the glamour world (sports, bollywood etc.)
  • Student/college leaders Incubated by industrial tycoons to garner their interests
  • Side-kicks/Chamchas of Netas after 15-20 years of mindless dedication
  • Contractors  - who enter into politics to get more govt. construction business
  • IAS officers turned politicians
Someone from middle class, from a non-political family background has neither means nor any incentives to enter politics. The anti corruption campaign started by Baba Ramdev and later joined by Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejrial, Kiran Bedi and General V.K. Singh has a left a huge residual effect – It created a market/demand for political candidates with clean image and development focus. May be such instincts were always there is some/many among the Indian voters, but these campaigns have further strengthened the thought. This is the only tiny space opened, where normal people can engage with politics. I call it “traction politics” and it seems to be taking birth in India !

Right..but unless people who support Anna Hazare's campaign on TV/social media or on ground go and sensibly vote, this traction is not going to be big. Voting in urban areas is much lower than in rural ones and also rural districts outnumber urban ones.

Also, all the people who started this movement are well accomplished ppl who you can compare to as being doing social work/good work for 15-20 years and now because of their standing in the society they are able to gain traction.

In movies ( James Bond/Secret agent movies), there are some moles who are planted in enemy camp give vital information or gain Key position in the opposition.
Then the opposition acts the way you want them to.

In India also, Manmohan Singh was made FM in 92 by world bank, to turn the policy is its favor.

Sushmita, Asihwarya won events in the same year so that cosmetic giants can capture India Market.

So, here also to beat the system you have to join the system.

If we make a new party, then how can it be different from any other Congres, BJP, Akali, CPM, DMK, AIDMK, Shiv Sena.....

We not these party made to change something.

We have to join these same party and force them to change the way they work.

Force your candidate in those parties from grass root level of Municipal->Mayor->MLA->MP

if not possible, ask all those elected with their performance report card.
How much fund was allocated to you by government and where have you spend.
Change them...force them to change the system the way we want else get punished.

Its not going to be easy.

We need to go and vote first.
and the fact is most of us do not vote.

The day voting percentage will be 90%+, thing will automatically change.
Because you can not buy even 50% vote, but yes 20-30$ can be purchased... and that makes the difference.
